The Deparment of Geosciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks offers M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in both Geology and Geophysics. Our faculty conduct a broad variety of research including: volcanology, paleontology, tectonics and sedimentation, seismology and geodesy, remote sensing and GIS, economic geology, and glaciers, sea ice and permafrost.
