518 CANCELLED-What’s in my Lake: The changing Face of Limnogeology

The need to understand past, present, and future climate variability, along with the renewed search for energy and increased interest in understanding the impact of Man on the environment has led to new insights in limnogeology. Through the use of new proxies and improvements in analytical tools, knowledge of the field has expanded rapidly. The purpose of this course is to provide a broad understanding of limnogeology and to provide information as to how best to design a multi-proxy study in an environment of decreasing funding opportunities. This short course is directed primarily towards students and early career scientists.
