The purpose of the workshop is to demonstrate how geospatial technology can be democratised in the 21st century - specifically how consumer grade electronic devices (namely android tablets & smartphones) can now be used to facilitate mapping in remote offline environments.Enterprise grade tools are now within reach of small to medium sized companies. This course will aim to guide participants through the process of acquiring and using one such tool (Mappt) to conduct field-based geological mapping in a safe & efficient manner and to deliver precise results.
