517 CANCELED Interpretation of Natural Gases
This course enables participants to interpret natural gases from a variety of geological habitats. After a short but comprehensive overview of gas compositions and origins, participants will learn how the gases are sampled and analyzed, and what budget is needed for gas analyses. Then, participants will be given state-of-the-art tools to interpret the source, maturity, mixing, and post-accumulation alterations of gases using molecular and isotopic data. The learning objectives will be achieved through lectures and individual and group exercises.
