529 CANCELED Scientific Writing Skills for Geologists Whose Native Language is Not English.
This writing workshop consists of short (10–30 minute) segments on grammar, organization, vocabulary, punctuation, and conciseness. In addition, we will cover geological writing essentials such as comparisons, directions, and measurements. The workshop will be a PowerPoint presentation with voluntary participatory practice. Questions are encouraged. Participants have the opportunity to submit a 1,000-word written text for review and feedback within 30 days of completion of the workshop (a US$100 value on the open market!). PowerPoint slides will be available to participants for review and future use.
