526 AVAILABLE ONLINE Methods and Geological Applications in Geo-Thermo-Petro-Chronology II.

YOU MAY ATTEND THIS COURSE ONLINE OR IN PERSON. Part II of this short course offered by the Arizona LaserChron Center (ALC), Arizona Radiogenic He Dating Laboratory (ARDHL), and Arizona Noble Gas Laboratory (ANGL) will focus on methods and applications of mostly diffusion-based thermochronology and petrochronology. Topics will include an introduction to diffusion, garnet geochronometry, (U-Th)/He thermochronology, Ar/Ar geochronology and thermochronology, and variety of high-T dating and geothermometry techniques including U-Pb apatite, titanite, and rutile; Ti-in-zircon; and Zr-in-rutile. Topics will incorporate a mix of theory, application, and hands-on activities. This course is geared toward geoscience faculty, professional scientists, graduate students, and undergraduate students.
