513 Introduction to ArcGIS Pro for Planetary Geology
This workshop introduces participants to working with planetary imagery, including basic mapping and analysis, using ArcGIS Pro software. It focuses on tasks and software features most relevant to planetary science and geology in general. It is intended for participants with little to no prior experience in ArcGIS, as well as experienced ArcGIS users who are new to ArcGIS Pro. Most of the workshop consists of hands-on exercises, with some lectures and demonstrations, and utilizes recent planetary image data sets with tips on where to find such data. This workshop is offered through the Planetary Data Training Workshops program, which is funded by NASA’s Topical Workshops, Symposia, and Conferences (TWSC). A PC laptop with ArcGIS Pro is required during this course. If you do not have a license for ArcGIS, a free 21-day license is available from Esri. We have a limited number of laptops available for use during the course. Use of these laptops must be requested and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Travel grants of up to $2000 to attend this course and conference are available. More information and application form can be found here: https://cornellspif.com/researchers/
