505 LiDAR: A tool for geologic and geohazard mapping
Digital elevation and digital surface model products derived from LiDAR data are used as tools when conducting field work to create geologic maps and outline mass wasting events. This workshop explores how geologists at the Office of the State Geologist use the models to identify possible faults, lineaments, joints, sinkholes and various types of landslides.
