Abstract
Paleozoic strata of the southern Beaverhead Mountain Range were transported eastward as a result of Sevier thrusting, which led to complex folding and faulting. Sevier structures have subsequently been dissected by Basin and Range normal faults. A previously undescribed thrust fault has been identified, which may correlate with other Sevier thrust faults in the Big Hole Mountain Range on the opposite side of the Snake River Plain. This map is a part of an ongoing project by Brigham Young University-Idaho to produce detailed geologic maps for the Beaverhead Mountain Range and to correlate Sevier structures across the Snake River Plain.
