Abstract

The Turkish Lakes Region is an area with a series of shallow tectonic lakes ( i.e. Lake Burdur, Lake Eğirdir) within the folds of the Taurus Mountains in South western Anatolia, Turkey. Lake Eğridir has developed in tectonic rift that connected Burdur transform fault. Lake Burdur is fully closed basin due to the nature of non- discharge outside. The autochthonous units in the region are: Permian limestone, limestone Triassic - Jurassic, Cretaceous times to to Palaeogene flysh conglomerate; Neogene main series allochthonous member of the ophiolit to - melange. Cellular Neural Network (CNN) approch was applied to obtain the limits of structure from the residual anomaly map (Bouguer anomaly map) that taken Mineral Research and Exploration Institute. The locations of Anamas Fault, Beysehir 1 Fault, Beyşehir 2 Fault and Akşehir Fault was clearly revealed in the resulting tectonic Map. In addition to these, Also secondary faults are clearly imaged. Horst and Grabens in the region were modelled by using forward modeling from various profiles from residual gravity anomaly map, and calculated depths were displayed. Depending on the block faulting tectonics, developed major faults in the region is North-West and South-East trending . A map about 3D model was prepared, and block faulting was clarified.
