Abstract
Yergen and Dedeninyurdu Cu mineralization hosted in spilitic basaltic rocks of Saraycık Formation related to silisification and carbonatization alteration zones. The mineralization zone directed N75-80oE with 20 m long and 5 m thickness and 100 m long and 8 m thickness in Yergen and Dedeninyurdu area, respectively. The ore mineralogy includes chalcopyrite and pyrite with malachite, azurite, goethite, and limonite as a result of oxidation.
Two different type of deformation phases were observed in the mineralized area. The first one, NW-SE compression phase, comprises N70-80o E trend fold axis. On the other hand, the second deformation phase, developed as a result of NW-SE stress, comprises N75-80o E normal faults. Cu mineralization was related to and compatible with second deformation phase that cut the folds of the first deformation phase affected on the mineralized area. It shows that the mineralization occurred as hydrothermal vein type at last deformation phase.
