Abstract

The Linton lagerstatte of southeastern Ohio has been known since the 1800’s and figures prominently in our understanding of Pennsylvanian vertebrates at a critical time in Earth history. Our goal is to present up to date faunal and floral lists to stimulate further interest in this highly important site that most professional paleontologists mistakenly believe ceased to exist in the 1920’s. This work will be accompanied by following sections reviewing the reptiles, fish, invertebrates and plants found at Linton.
