Abstract

The climate crisis is at the forefront of science, policy, and public discourse. Unfortunately, the topic is often framed as a belief system, politicized science, or useless uncertainty. While many scholars and public personas offer opinions, the peer-review science is clear about the main storylines associated with climate change. While many scientists are well-versed at conveying results at conferences and in the scholarly journals, significant deficiencies remain with sharing their science with the public, stakeholders, or policymakers. This talk uses the lens of contemporary events to present challenges and opportunities to improve climate science (or science) communication.
