Abstract

The pseudotachylite breccia specimens from the Musgrave Province in Australia have garnered significant attention due to their distinctive characteristics. These breccias, which are found within granulite facies rocks, were originally interpreted as products of seismic activity. However, recent investigations have provided compelling evidence suggesting an impact-related origin. In this study, we present new findings that support the presence of bolide impact signatures within these specimens, offering crucial insights into their formation processes and geological significance.
